Due to Adrian Barnes’s wonderfully successful run with The Mousetrap (tour of Aussie and Wellington extended), he is not now available in January so, rather than have you all miss out on the great workshop he and Pat Wilson had devised for you, we have asked them to present it later in 2013 AND secured a very exciting alternative for January in Jamie Irvine, who we know will be a tremendous boost to you in your quest to prefect your art! He’s a drama specialist who has performed throughout NZ in music theatre but more recently in Aussie and NZ in film and on stage.

CCMT’s Board is delighted Jason Te Mete is able to fit into his demanding schedule the role of Director of our 2013 Emerging Talent School. This year Jason has been in great demand as a director and a vocal coach. He has been the resident Vocal Lecturer at Manukau Institute of Technology where he has musically directed their very successful productions of West Side Story and Godspell
Well known in Auckland as an accomplished actor/singer/dancer, Jason is equally respected and admired for his directing and musical direction. He is remembered for the roles of Angel in Rent and Bernado in West Side Story, both of which he received NAPTA nominations for and, more recently, Geoffrey in the 2010 season of Stepping Out with Auckland Theatre Company. He co-directed the much-loved Checkout Chicks recently with Simon Coleman for Auckland Theatre Company and he has been awarded the position of musical director for Auckland Theatre Company’s professional production of Little Shop of Horrors .
How lucky CCMT is to have such a multi-talented director to create and direct our upcoming school. Jason’s career is soaring and we are thrilled to secure his skills for you before his ever growing professional theatrical commitments take all his time! So don’t miss out on enrolling now!!! He has lots of exciting things in store for this year’s CCMT Emerging Talent School participants.
