The incomparable Helen Medlyn has been signed, to teach with Sam Haft from the Actors Centre in Sydney, to give you a Focus Workshop experience you will never forget.
A self-described “girl of all trades”, Helen's performance career has encompassed jazz chanteuse, dancer, actress, musical theatre performer, narrator, classical concert singer, voice-over artiste, opera diva and cabaret entertainer….. sometimes all in the same performance!!!!
With an innate sense of fun and musicality Helen has been acclaimed both in New Zealand and overseas for stamping her own style on all she does. Since leaving her ‘day job’ as a television and radio producer at an advertising agency in 1989, Helen has established herself as a New Zealand performing arts icon.
Honoured as an Art Foundation of New Zealand Laureate in 2002, she is now a regular guest with opera companies and orchestras throughout Australasia, Asia, America and Britain. DO NOT MISS the opportunity to be tutored by this amazing woman tour-de-force.

Dancer, choreographer, director, actor, teacher and mentor, Leona Lenore Robinson joins CCMT's 2012 ETS as dance tutor
CCMT can now announce that they have been able to secure the services of Leona Lenore Robinson, who will be joining the Tutor Team for the January 2012 Emerging Talent School, adding to the mix of dance expertise you will be exposed to during the two week school.
A dancer, choreographer, director, actor, teacher and mentor who has a wealth of experience in teaching children and young adults, Leona has many ex students who are now successful performers within New Zealand and internationally. Based in the Waikato, Leona judges dance nationally and has also been an American Jazz Dance examiner. Make the most of this opportunity to learn from her exceptional skill base!
Michael Lee Porter joins CCMT tutors

Adding to our wonderful mix of Tutors for CCMT in January, NASDA graduate Michael Lee Porter will be encouraging your vocal chords to hit new highs!
An actor, musical director and musician, Michael has had enormous experience in touring in musical theatre, within New Zealand and overseas, including the two year Australasian tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” and a Korean tour of “Jekyll and Hyde”.

Mary Jane O'Reilly, one of New Zealand’s most respected contemporary dancers and choreographers will be a dance tutor for the Emerging Talent School in January 2012
CCMT are delighted to announce that one of New Zealand’s most respected contemporary dancers and choreographers will be a dance tutor for the Emerging Talent School in January 2012. Mary Jane O’Reilly has had an international career as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, director and producer spanning twenty five years, including being the co-founder of Limbs Dance Company, choreographer for the 1990 Opening Ceremony of the Commonwealth Games, the 2000 Millennium Dawn event and recently as the Artistic Director of Tempo, New Zealand’s Festival of Dance. She is the recipient of numerous awards such as the Allen Highet Award (for outstanding achievement) and a Queens Service Medal in 1990 for her services to dance.

Congratulations to CCMT students who were nominated in the recent AMI Showdown Awards
Congratulations to the many CCMT students who were nominated in the recent Showdown Awards – Caitlin Anyon-Peters, Emma Gunn, Amber Johnson, Crystelle L’Amie, Joel Granger, Sam Malone, Hamish Mouat (twice), and Imogen Wells (also twice). Imogen was also the winner of best leading female in a musical for her role as Charity in Sweet Charity and Joel winner of best leading male in a musical as Jesus in Kristin's Jesus Christ Superstar. A great night all round.
As well as individual nominations, many other CCMT students ere part of award winning shows on the night.
