Welcome to singing tutor Jane Horder

Jane is an accomplished singer and performer working in all facets of the music industry.  She sings in Auckland swing band ‘Prima’ and has performed in numerous musicals.

Jane won a NAPTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role playing Sister Robert Anne in North Shore Music Theatre’s ‘Nunsense’ 2008.  While not performing she works as HOD Drama at Takapuna Grammar School where this year she inaugurated a Musical Theatre course for senior students.  She has directed / choreographed and musically directed many school shows.  She has been a vocal coach for Queen City Big Bands vocal group and was Musical Director for the NAPTA Concert 2007.

Jon Pheloung joins Summer School tutors

From the Court Theatre, Christchurch

Jon Pheloung divides his time working in theatre and academia.  He spent 12 years in the USA lecturing in media studies and theatre at the University of Illinois, North Carolina State University, and other institutions. 

Jon now teaches, directs, and develops curricula in the Creative Industries programme at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology in addition to acting and directing at the Court Theatre.

CCMT welcomes Luke Di Somma – Musical Director

Straight from Tisch School of Performing Arts, NEW YORK!

Luke is based in Christchurch as a freelance musical director, composer and conductor. He has recently returned to New Zealand from New York, where he graduated from New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts with a Master of Fine Arts from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Programme.

Taane Mete returns to CCMT

Fresh from WOW Wearable Arts and NZ’s Next Top Model…

Taane graduated with honours from the New Zealand School of Dance in 1988 and is considered one of this country’s most outstanding and versatile dancers.

His 22 years of experience has seen him perform with companies such as Footnote, Douglas Wright, Taiao Dance Company, Fusion Dance Theatre, Michael Parmenter’s (Commotion Company), The Royal New Zealand Ballet, Human Garden Dance Company and Atamira Dance Collective.  Taane was also a founding member and a senior dancer for Black Grace Dance Company.

CCMT welcomes Tyran Parke from NIDA, Sydney

One of Sydney’s most accomplished teachers of singing and acting joins CCMT Summer School

Tyran is a graduate of WAAPA, and has played roles professionally in ‘The Sound of Music’, ‘Mack and Mabel’Anything Goes’, ‘Funny Girl’, ‘South Pacific’, ‘Oliver’, ‘Sunset Boulevard’, ‘Rosie’,Into the Woods’, ‘Evita’, ‘Listen to My Heart’, ‘Eurobeat’- Australian and Korean Tours’, ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream ’, ‘The Hatpin’, ‘Angels in America’, ‘Putting it Together’ and ‘Sweeney Todd’.   Tyran is best known for his award winning portrayal of the title role in ‘Sunday in the Park with George’.  On television, he had a recurring role in ‘Crash Palace’.

 

Aside from his busy performance schedule Tyran has earned a reputation as being one of Sydney’s most accomplished teachers of singing and acting.
