Moving effortlessly between the two mediums of stage and screen Lisa looks forward to sharing her wealth of knowledge with students on how to make this transition. A veteran performer Lisa understands the need to be versatile and how essential it is to be skilled in all the performance mediums.
“There is a difference between stage, screen and musicals, but what they have in common is that they all tell a story and it’s our job as to tell that story as truthfully as we can.One of the joys of acting is to walk in another person’s shoes, it can be exhilarating, liberating and exciting. Learning to let go and transform is one of the key ingredients to a successful career.
My goal in is take off the mask, both in life and in work. The camera sees everything so you need to learn how to be okay with being seen. I can help you with that.
The Stage to Screen Workshop will consist of watching and analyzing screen performances, specific screen acting exercises and paired scene work that will be work-shopped and filmed. The final take filmed live in a showcase for students family and friends. This will provide the student with a taste of what it takes to deliver the goods under pressure and it will also become material for their show reel to keep.
