    Simon’s passion for theatre began when he was 5 years old. He attended dance, drama and singing lessons from this age and after his first role in the Sound of Music at the age of 10 he was involved in many community productions.

    Grant’s vast involvement with theatre started in Auckland as a 12 year old, and some 25 years on, his contribution now extends to the full theatrical spectrum, from performer to choreographer, musical director and director.
  • Nicholas Forbes - Repetiteur, 2009 Summer School
    Originally from Christchurch, Nick is currently completing a BMus at Auckland University, studying conducting, historic keyboard and piano accompaniment.

  • Georgia Wood - Vocal Tutor, 2009 Summer School
    Georgia Wood (nee Duder) is a singer, actress, voice and performance coach. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland in Italian and History and graduated from Toi Whaakari; the New Zealand Drama School in 1996.
  • Michael Nicolas Williams - Musical Director, 2009 Summer School
    Michael made his professional debut as Musical Director in 1983 with Tom Foolery at Circa Theatre. Since then he has been responsible for productions throughout New Zealand including Side by Side by Sondheim, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aunt Daisy!, Trafford Tanzi, Judy, and his own show, Dead Tragic.
  • Sandra Rasmussen - Dance Tutor Summer School, 2009
    Sandra Rasmussen has been an actor, director and choreographer primarily with the Court Theatre in Christchurch for 30 years. Direction /choreography credits include Guys and Dolls, Jerry’s Girls, Jesus Christ Superstar, Sound of Music, Oliver, South Pacific, The Rocky Horror Picture Show”, Cabaret, Kiss Me Kate, L’il Abner and Gypsy.
  • Jacque Drew - Drama Tutor, 2009 Summer School
    Jacque is an award-winning actor, recognized in the U.S. and New Zealand for her work on stage. She was a founding member of the Tygres Heart Shakespeare Company (Portland OR) and served as an artistic director/educational coordinator for the company, garnering accolades for her educational touring show based on Shakespeare’s greatest works.
  • Louise Britzman - Vocal Tutor 2009 Summer School
    After Graduating from Drama Studio Sydney NSW 1988 Louise worked in Sydney and Tasmania as an actor/singer. Inspired by a love of African American Gospel music and acappella Louise became a founding member of Sydney’s world renowned choir The Café of the Gates of Salvation. She went on to sing with a number of Sydney and Auckland based acappella groups.
  • A Champion Ballroom and Latin American dancer from the age of 9, Aaron has competed across all age divisions winning many New Zealand competitions and titles.

  • Val has been choreographing shows in and around Auckland for the past 30 years or so, before that she was a professional dancer in the UK.
  • Beth trained at Auckland's Theatre Corporate Drama School in 1986 and went on to train in London at the Circus Space, with Phillipe Gaulier and at Desmond Jones School of Mime.
  • Patrick has arrived from Australia where he has worked as a professional performer, singing and acting trainer, writer, director, composer and producer for his performing arts business Harmonious Events, Theatre and Music Centre for the past 8 years. He Is truly a dynamic multi-disciplined theatre professional.
  • Robin completed the AMEB syllabus for piano performance in 2005, and has since worked as a musical director and rehearsal pianist around Auckland, most recently for the Manukau Performing Arts’ September 2009 production of ‘Seussical’ and ‘The Full Monty’ at the Glen Eden Playhouse in 2008.
  • This year Eddie has been completing his A levels in the 7th form at ACG Senior College while conjointly attending the University of Auckland as an accelerant student.
    Earlier this year he attained a distinction in his Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music (performance piano) making him one of the youngest New Zealand students to hold this level of qualification. In 2010 he will continue studying for his BMus at Auckland University, majoring in piano.
  • Luke Di Somma - Musical Director 2011 Summer School

    Luke is based in Christchurch as a freelance musical director, composer and conductor. He has recently returned to New Zealand from New York, where he graduated from New York University's prestigious Tisch School of the Arts with a Master of Fine Arts from the Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Programme.
  • Jon Phelong - Acting Tutor 2011 Summer School
    From the Court Theatre, Christchurch

    Jon Pheloung divides his time working in theatre and academia. He spent 12 years in the USA lecturing in media studies and theatre at the University of Illinois, North Carolina State University, and other institutions.
  • Daniel Cooper - Dance Tutor 2011 Summer School
    Daniel graduated from The New Zealand School of Dance in 2001. After graduating he understudied and danced in Douglas Wright’s 2002 season of ‘Inland’ then went on to dance with Black Grace Dance Company for the next four years.
  • Jane Horder - Vocal Tutor 2011 Summer SChool
    Jane is an accomplished singer and performer working in all facets of the music industry. She sings in Auckland swing band ‘Prima’ and has performed in numerous musicals including ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ (NZ/Australian tour 1994-95) and ‘Chess’ (Stetson Productions NZ tour 1992) and most recently ‘Sweeney Todd’ (Peach Theatre Company 2010).
  • Marcelle Schmitz - Director 2012 Summer School, Acting Tutor 2011 Summer School
    Since graduating from NIDA, Marcelle has developed a solid reputation for excellence in theatre practice. Now residing in Western Australia, she has won Equity Guild awards twice as a director and once as an actor, and is also a highly sought-after teacher of acting.
