    Dean founded Actors Centre Australia (ACA) in Sydney which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2017. He is the author of 5 acting books: The Acting Edge, was launched by Hugh Jackman in 2012. His Acting Edge online program and App are available worldwide. Dean has taught acting for 35 years in many countries, including the U.S., the U.K., Russia, France, Brazil, Singapore, New Zealand and Australia-wide.

  • Jamie Irvine - 2013 Focus Workshop Tutor
    On Screen Jamie is best known as Narrator Ben Charlton in Underbelly NZ: Land of the Long Green Cloud. He has appeared in short film's The Shed (2011), Nightstorm (2011), All Blacks don't cry (2010), Vinyl (2008), Winners and losers (2007) as well as TV shows Out of the Blue (2008), Home and Away (2007) and Shortland St (2001-02).

    Helen Medlyn is a self-described Jill Of All Trades. A jazz chanteuse, actress, musical theatre performer, narrator, classical concert singer, voice-over artiste, opera diva and cabaret entertainer.

    Sam grew up in London and emigrated to Australia in 1998. Whilst in the U.K, Sam worked on the BAFTA award winning TV series, Roger and The Rottentrolls as well as various productions for the BBC
  • Lisa Chappell - 2011 Focus Workshop Tutor
    Lisa Chappell first hit our screens playing spoilt teenager Chelsea Redfern in the iconic television series Gloss. A variety of roles were to follow in film, theatre, and television including; Shark In The Park, Chicago, Desperate Remedies, All My Sons, The Herbal Bed, City Life and Hercules. At thirty Lisa decided to take time out from her successful career to develop her craft. She successfully auditioned for the Sydney Actors Centre course – The Journey.
  • Livio Salvi - 2010 Focus Workshop Tutor, Senior School Tutor, 2009 Summer School
    Livio Salvi started dancing, singing and acting at a very young age in his hometown of Bergamo, Italy. After several years of ballet training he won his first National Competition as a professional dancer at the age of 15.
  • Joseph Murray - 2010 Focus Workshop Tutor, Workshop Tutor 2009 Summer School
    Joe Murray started his professional career performing the role of Richie Valens in “Buddy” to sell-out audiences in Auckland. From there he went on to what he still considers a highlight in his career, “Blood Brothers”, playing the not-so-fortunate Perkins, whilst covering both of the brothers, throughout Australasia.
